About The Role

We're seeking experienced sales professionals to join our team at The RealReal, a leading online marketplace for authenticated luxury goods. As a Field Sales Account Executive, you'll play a key role in driving new consignment business and building strong relationships with clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Convert marketing-generated leads into new clients and self-generate new business through prospecting and activating lapsed leads
  • Connect with clients to drive consignment activity through daily outreach and in-home appointments
  • Leverage strong client relationships to gain referrals for new business
  • Procure consigned goods from clients and ship to ecommerce centers on their behalf
  • Outreach daily to leads and clients
  • Provide an outstanding client experience
  • Review contracts with clients
  • Set pricing expectations through deep knowledge of luxury goods
  • Partner with Consignor Relations team to proactively resolve client issues or concerns
  • Regularly spend more than 70% in the field building client relationships and acquiring consigned items
Requirements
  • 3+ years direct sales experience with a proven track record for success in performance-based direct sales roles
  • Must live in Brooklyn and regularly meet with clients in person within assigned territory
  • Ability to quickly build rapport and establish trust and credibility with clients
  • Ability to commit to 40 hours per week and occasionally work off-hours as required by clientele
  • Self-motivation and drive to achieve results
  • Stellar communication skills - both written and verbal
  • Proven ability to build lasting relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Self-motivated, proactive, dedicated, and results-oriented with a strong ability to work independently in a fast-paced work environment
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills
  • Proficiency with technological tools including Salesforce or a CRM of similar caliber and G-suite
  • Team-focused mentality with a passion for collaboration

  • Highly coachable with an eagerness to learn
  • Ability to travel more than 70% within designated market
  • Ability to lift and move up to 25 lbs
Compensation and Benefits
  • Base salary plus uncapped commission
  • $2,000/month commission + additional $500 bonus potential (at target) - top performers earning over $5,000/month

The expected salary range for this role is $60,000.00-$65,000.00. We carefully consider a variety of factors, including primary work location and an evaluation of a candidate's skills, experience, market demands, and internal parity, to determine starting pay. Salary is just one component of TRR's total rewards package, which may also include a bonus program, incentive pay, and benefits.
