Key Responsibilities- Sell Intermodal Transportation Services: Identify new business opportunities and develop/maintain relationships with customers to achieve sales targets.
- Develop Strategic Plans: Create and execute plans to achieve sales targets and expand the Company's customer base.
- Build Customer Relationships: Foster strong, long-lasting relationships with customers to understand their business needs and objectives.
- Communicate Value Proposition: Effectively communicate the value proposition through proposals and presentations to customers.
- Reporting and Analysis: Report on forces that shift tactical budgets and strategic direction of accounts, and complete research on prospects' business needs.
- Cold Calling and Lead Generation: Regularly cold call for new prospects and develop relationships with prospective shippers.
- Negotiation and Account Management: Negotiate prices, terms of sales, and/or service agreements, and be the primary point of contact for customers with regards to overall account management.
- Results Reporting and Lead Tracking: Periodically prepare and report results, status of accounts, and leads to manager.
- Meet Sales Targets: Consistently meet sales targets and become a subject matter expert on the Company's business services, processes, and operations.
