About the Role

The Intermodal Sales Director will play a key role in driving sales growth and expanding the Company's customer base. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned sales professional to join a dynamic team and contribute to the Company's continued success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sell Intermodal Transportation Services: Identify new business opportunities and develop/maintain relationships with customers to achieve sales targets.
  • Develop Strategic Plans: Create and execute plans to achieve sales targets and expand the Company's customer base.
  • Build Customer Relationships: Foster strong, long-lasting relationships with customers to understand their business needs and objectives.
  • Communicate Value Proposition: Effectively communicate the value proposition through proposals and presentations to customers.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Report on forces that shift tactical budgets and strategic direction of accounts, and complete research on prospects' business needs.
  • Cold Calling and Lead Generation: Regularly cold call for new prospects and develop relationships with prospective shippers.
  • Negotiation and Account Management: Negotiate prices, terms of sales, and/or service agreements, and be the primary point of contact for customers with regards to overall account management.
  • Results Reporting and Lead Tracking: Periodically prepare and report results, status of accounts, and leads to manager.
  • Meet Sales Targets: Consistently meet sales targets and become a subject matter expert on the Company's business services, processes, and operations.
