Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Lead Software Engineer to join our team at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer & Community Banking, Digital Tech space. As a key member of our agile team, you will play a critical role in enhancing, building, and delivering top-notch technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendors.
  • Develop secure and high-quality production code, and review and debug code written by others.
  • Drive decisions that influence product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes.
  • Serve as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus.
  • Contribute to the engineering community as an advocate of firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices of the Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Influence peers and project decision-makers to consider the use and application of leading-edge technologies.
  • Enhance the team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.
Requirements
  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
  • Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
  • Over 8+ years of experience in modern programming languages, including Java and Python.
  • Over 4+ years of experience in modern private and public cloud infrastructure platforms, including AWS and EKS.
  • Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages.
  • Good troubleshooting skills and ability to tackle design and functional problems with minimal oversight.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
