About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our culinary team at Rolling Green Village. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for assisting in the planning, scheduling, and supervision of kitchen personnel, as well as developing and implementing menus that meet the expectations of our Kitchen Managers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the planning, scheduling, and supervision of kitchen personnel to ensure efficient and effective kitchen operations.
  • Develop and implement menus that meet the expectations of our Kitchen Managers, ensuring consistency and quality in all food preparation and presentation.
  • Supervise production, sanitation, and food service to apartment residents and Health Center residents, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Handle inventory controls and maintain minimum/maximum par levels to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize waste.
  • Monitor all line checks, temperature logs, and systems pertaining to the kitchen operation to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Lead in the development and implementation of standardized recipes and menu specifications to ensure consistency and quality in all food preparation and presentation.
  • Perform specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor, including ensuring all DHEC controls are in place, cleanliness, sanitation, and organization, proper heating and cooling of products, and proper holding of products in all coolers and freezers.
