About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our culinary team at Rolling Green Village. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for assisting in the planning, scheduling, and supervision of kitchen personnel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the development of menus and ensure their implementation and production meet the expectations of the Kitchen Manager.
  • Provide on-the-job training for food preparation and kitchen employees, ensuring they meet the standards of the staff education program.
  • Develop work assignments for all kitchen personnel, assigning special jobs and spot-checking work to ensure standards are met.
  • Assist in ordering, receiving, and proper storage of all food and supplies.
  • Supervise production, sanitation, and food service to apartment residents and Health Center residents.
  • Monitor inventory controls and maintain minimum/maximum par levels.
  • Lead in the development and implementation of standardized recipes and menu specifications.
  • Perform specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Ensure all DHEC controls are in place, including cleanliness, sanitation, and organization, proper heating and cooling of products, and proper holding of products in all coolers and freezers.
