Position Overview

Ingram Content Group (ICG) is seeking a Junior IT Compliance Specialist to join our compliance team. This role is pivotal in assessing the organization's data privacy vulnerabilities and aiding in the formulation and execution of strategies to mitigate those risks. The specialist will evaluate fundamental records, reports, regulations, and operational practices while ensuring adherence to regulatory controls.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in Information Technology, Information Security, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in IT risk management, auditing, or security, with an emphasis on governance, risk, and compliance.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with data privacy regulations, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
  • Self-driven team player with a solutions-oriented mindset who can inspire others to meet deadlines and advance tasks.
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills, capable of working independently.
  • Able to engage and collaborate with personnel at all levels, including senior management, across global timelines.
  • Detail-oriented while maintaining a broader perspective.
  • Interest in data and the evolving regulations affecting how organizations gather and utilize personal information.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the Application Data Protection Program, escalating issues as needed.
  • Assist in gathering compliance evidence for regulatory audits.
  • Ensure timely issuance of assessments and support the business in completing them.
  • Generate reports detailing compliance findings.
  • Contribute to the development of guidance and training materials to facilitate system usage and assessment completion across the organization.
  • Support data inventories and mapping initiatives.
  • Assist in conducting data privacy risk and impact assessments.
  • Participate in Security Framework Audits (CIS, PCI, SOC I/II).
  • Conduct IT Policy Audits to ensure compliance.
  • Assist in Application/Website Compliance Testing.
  • Support Third-Party Audits, including services with reputational scoring (Security Scorecard).
  • Collaborate with other Analysts to manage Vendor Risk assessments and report on risks or gaps in dependencies.
  • Assist in auditing cookie classifications and compliance for select external websites.
