We are seeking a skilled Generator Maintenance Specialist to join our team. This role is critical to our business, requiring a hands-on approach to ensure high-quality and timely service delivery. As a Generator Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance on standby generator systems, troubleshooting and repairing gas and diesel engines, and installing and testing new generator units.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on generator systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency
  • Troubleshoot and repair complex engine issues, including gas and diesel engines
  • Install and test new generator units, ensuring compliance with safety protocols
  • Respond promptly to emergency situations, providing timely and effective solutions
  • Complete and submit work orders and reports in a timely manner, ensuring accurate documentation
  • Prepare detailed quotes for repairs, taking into account customer needs and preferences
  • Adhere to safety protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Technical School Certificate or Military training, a plus
  • 1-5 years or more of generator experience required
  • Experience with Kohler Power Systems, a plus
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and work independently
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
