Position Summary:
The Analog Devices Platform IP group is on the lookout for a seasoned analog IC layout design engineer. This role involves the transfer and development of essential strategic IP (Intellectual Property) that will be utilized across various business and product opportunities within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with internal stakeholders to enhance and sustain developed IP.
  • Focus on primary IP design areas such as power and clock management, while also addressing a diverse range of applications including precision references, IOs, and mixed-signal/analog circuitry.
  • Conduct block floorplan, subsystem, and chip-level development.
  • Perform physical verification tasks including LVS, DRC, Density, Extraction, and EM.
  • Collaborate closely with Analog Designers to tackle complex challenges.
  • Establish schedules and monitor project progress.
  • Continuously refine layout practices and procedures, sharing knowledge within the community.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in IC layout design.
  • Proficient understanding of analog and mixed-signal layout techniques, with hands-on experience using Cadence Layout tools (Virtuoso) and Mentor Graphics verification systems (Calibre).
  • Experience in designing with relatively low process technology nodes, applying techniques to mitigate layout parasitic effects.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multi-site teams.
  • Experience in the layout/physical design of various circuit types, including ADCs, DACs, LDOs, PLLs, VCOs, and amplifiers.
  • Familiarity with common circuit layout practices such as matching techniques, ESD/Latch-up mitigation, and circuit parasitic extraction and reduction.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Knowledge of Cadence SKILL is a plus.
