Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the upkeep of laboratory equipment and materials.
  • Develop and manage documentation related to research activities and conduct laboratory-based chemical analyses.

  • Perform testing on raw materials, in-process, and finished products using advanced analytical instruments and wet chemistry techniques.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on quality control equipment and instrumentation.
  • Collaborate with the Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) team to manage waste documentation and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Engage in lab-scale polymerization processes and execute both routine and non-routine sample analyses.
  • Document and communicate actions, irregularities, and ongoing needs to maintain continuity among work teams.
  • Uphold the quality management system as outlined in the Quality System Manual and audit its effectiveness.
  • Maintain a safe and organized workspace by adhering to EHS programs and procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in a quality control laboratory or at least 5 years in a chemical manufacturing environment.
  • Willingness to work a rotating schedule.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree in Chemistry or Environmental Health with laboratory experience.
  • Familiarity with SAP systems.
  • Experience with laboratory instruments such as Gas Chromatograph, HPLC, FTIR, and Atomic Absorption.
  • Knowledge of wet chemistry techniques, including automated titrations and solid analysis.
  • Understanding of waste management regulations and guidelines.
  • Mechanical aptitude for general repair and maintenance of QC equipment.
  • Training in HAZMAT, RCRA, and DOT regulations.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with ISO standards and quality control concepts.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Self-motivated and a collaborative team player.
  • Proficient in mathematics and computer applications.
