We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Technologist to join our team at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas. As a Medical Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing laboratory services to patients, ensuring accurate and timely test results, and contributing to the mission of providing Sacred Work to our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintains high degree of competency in the operation of equipment in the performance of Laboratory Services testing, including trouble-shooting, machine repair, and preventive maintenance of instrumentation.
  • Assists in quality assurance by utilizing online Variance reporting and participates in quality control, performance improvement, and proficiency testing activities within the Department.
  • Facilitates communication within the Laboratory Department, as well as Laboratory Services and other members of the hospital family, and physicians to enhance patient care services.
  • Demonstrates specialized knowledge of Laboratory Services principles in the provision of diagnostic services, while processing reliable test results, including analysis, calculations, and reporting results, utilizing critical skills related to results and the patient's clinical condition.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Completion of approved training program for Medical Technologist with clinical laboratory setting experience within the last 10 years
  • Must be CLIA qualified for high complexity testing. National certification or certification eligibility
