Job Summary:

The University of Washington is seeking a highly skilled Finance Manager to join our team. As a key member of our financial operations team, you will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of the Alliance for Professional Development, Training, and Caregiver Excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the financial management of the Alliance, including budget development, financial reporting, and compliance with university and state regulations.
  • Supervise and manage a team of fiscal staff, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful execution of financial operations.
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure the efficient and effective use of resources.
  • Collaborate with the UW School of Social Work Assistant Dean of Finance & Administration and Director of Finance Programs to ensure compliance with university and state regulations.
  • Serve as a point person for agency financial audits and provide guidance to staff on financial matters.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Public Administration, Social Work or related field.
  • 5 years of experience working within a university financial setting, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience working with federal funding laws, rules, and regulations pertaining to child welfare education and training.
  • Skilled in creating and using complex MS Excel spreadsheets, and other information systems for financial management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with all partners, team members, and stakeholders.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Public Administration, Business, Accounting or related field.
  • Experience with Workday Finance.
