Dealer Relationship Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Dealer Relationship Manager to join our team at Truist Financial Corporation. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with auto dealerships, identifying business opportunities, and driving revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed contract volume, quality, and efficiency goals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key auto dealer personnel, including finance directors, sales managers, and general managers.
- Utilize Integrated Relationship Management (IRM) to uncover and solve dealer needs, driving business growth and revenue.
- Responsible for making quality sales calls to existing dealer clients, averaging a minimum of 100 face-to-face visits per month.
- Document dealer visits and provide documentation of specific dealer issues.
- Act as a trusted advisor to dealer management, staying up-to-date on industry trends and local developments.
- Protect the bank against industry risk, including reputational risk.
- Maintain assigned Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Comply with Truist policies, including expenses, corporate code of ethics, compliance, and corporate communication.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and related training.
- 3 years of experience in industry-related territory relationship management.
- Excellent marketing and communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to maintain strong relationships with dealers and teammates.
- Strong sales, negotiation, and persuasive skills.
- Ability to work independently during times of limited supervision and demonstrate ownership and accountability for their territory.
- Demonstrate proficiency in basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office software products.
- Ability to travel, occasionally overnight.
- Reliable and professional personal transportation to perform designated duties.
- 5 years' experience in the auto finance industry.
- Local knowledge and established relationships within the designated territory.
- Extensive training and development within the auto finance industry.
This role requires sitting, standing, walking, bending, and lifting, with occasional overnight travel. The ability to access and interpret client information, hear and speak with individuals in person and on the phone, and work standard office equipment is also required.
Able to work all hours scheduled, including overtime as directed by manager/supervisor and required by business need. Up to 75% travel is expected.
