Ice Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a skilled Ice Maintenance Technician to join our team at Connecticut College. As a key member of our arena operations team, you will be responsible for maintaining the ice surface to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for our students, faculty, and staff.
Key Responsibilities:- Properly and safely operate the Zamboni to maintain acceptable ice conditions.
- Maintain the Zamboni machine, emptying ice debris after use and keeping it ready for use at all times.
- Wear proper safety equipment as prescribed for the job.
- Ensure all work processes comply with OSHA requirements/regulations and college policies and procedures.
- High school diploma and demonstrated ability to operate Zamboni machine.
- Experience running and maintaining a Zamboni machine.
- Knowledge of power tools and equipment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work at moderate heights.
- Ability to maintain a valid driver's license.
- Knowledgeable of and comply with OSHA, EPA, and other safety/health requirements.
- Good customer service skills.
- Well-organized, able to work under pressure.
- Ability to interact well with a variety of people from all aspects of the college and community.
