Job Summary:

The Culinary Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day food and beverage operations at QC NY SPA. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain high standards of quality and customer service.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with all laws and regulations related to food safety, alcohol service, and health inspections.
  • Assist with Department of Health and other agency inspections as needed.
  • Order and requisition all necessary products while adhering to operating budgets.
  • Maintain equipment in good working order and ensure adequate supplies for operational efficiency.
  • Lead and execute inventory policies and procedures effectively.
  • Assist with creating employee schedules based on business forecasts, payroll guidelines, and productivity needs.
  • Assist in ordering and inventory of food and beverage employee uniforms.
  • Control labor costs on a daily basis.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and exceptional customer service standards.
  • Handle and resolve guest problems and complaints promptly, ensuring guest satisfaction as needed.
  • Identify operational challenges and develop solutions to prevent recurrence.
  • Comply with health and safety regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Abilities:
  • Proven experience in food and beverage management.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory control principles.
  • Proficiency in various computer software programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, POS).
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems efficiently.
  • Excellent delegation, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Up-to-date with food and beverage trends and best practices.
  • Ability to manage personnel effectively and achieve financial targets.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours as required.
Education and Experience:
  • Food Handlers license and HACCP certification required.
  • TIPS license preferred.
  • Minimum of three to five years of related experience required.
Physical Requirements:
  • Extended periods of standing, sitting at a desk, and working on a computer.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
