Job Title: Grant Specialist

Are you passionate about student success and academic support? We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Grant Specialist to join our team at Texas State University.

Job Summary:

The Grant Specialist will provide counseling and advising to students, determine their academic needs, and develop individualized student success plans. The successful candidate will also assist with marketing, recruitment, and selection activities, as well as record keeping and program evaluation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide counseling and advising to students
  • Determine student academic needs and develop individualized student success plans
  • Assist with marketing, recruitment, and selection activities
  • Document student contact and progress
  • Assist with record keeping and program evaluation
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (preferred)
  • Experience with academic support programs focused on student success
  • Effective writing and speaking skills
  • Experience with computer software and database management platforms
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in planning educational and/or cultural trips
  • 1 year experience with academic support programs focused on student success
