Job Summary

Huckleberry Youth Programs is seeking a highly skilled Grants and Contracts Specialist to join our Finance team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for building collaborative relationships across the agency and providing support in pre- and post-award grants administration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support staff through the proposal and budget development process and communicate effectively across programs
  • Approving grant expenses, monitoring budgets, and financial/compliance reporting as required by funders
  • Administering policies and procedures with a strong focus on compliance with the funding agency and HYP's accounting standards
  • Providing full-cycle fiscal management for all contracts and grants
  • Recommend grant-related policies to support overall organizational goals, priorities, and requirements
  • Developing budgets for grant proposals and capturing, tracking, and reporting revenue and expenses
  • Ensuring compliance with contract and subcontractor award terms and conditions
  • Preparing grant-related financial reports for various types of funders
  • Managing monthly invoicing process, including staff allocations, and following up as needed
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Accounting, and/or the equivalent working experience/training
  • Two to four years of grants experience
  • Demonstrated experience in full-cycle grants management
  • Experience in non-profit accounting
