This Environmental Safety Advisor role is pivotal in supporting the safety and health of approximately 350 employees, reporting directly to the EHS Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and facilitate safety training programs and tools that align with EHS initiatives and regulatory standards, ensuring compliance and driving positive outcomes.
  • Conduct thorough EHS evaluations for new machinery, processes, and protocols, providing actionable recommendations to mitigate potential risks.
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant local, state, federal, and corporate EHS regulations, maintaining accurate records and reporting as required.
  • Collaborate with the EHS Manager on managing employee injury cases, developing action plans, and communicating effectively within the organization.
  • Support environmental compliance efforts by working with consulting agencies on necessary water and air permits.
  • Participate in and lead hazard assessments across production areas to identify and address safety concerns.
  • Facilitate incident investigations, ensuring timely and appropriate corrective actions are implemented.
  • Conduct regular audits of facilities and operations, providing insights and assisting in the formulation of improvement plans.
  • Build strong partnerships with leadership to integrate EHS considerations into all business operations.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field, preferably related to EHS.
  • A minimum of 3 years of pertinent EHS experience is required.
  • Combination of relevant education and experience will be considered.
  • Certification as a Safety Professional (CSP) is preferred.
Essential Skills:
  • In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations and applicable state and federal laws.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Experience and enthusiasm for delivering presentations and training in a group setting.
