We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Safety and Quality Leader to join Conagra Brands' plant leadership team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality in our plant.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Comply with all company safety policies and procedures, as well as OSHA rules and regulations.
  • Ensure all plant personnel adhere to good manufacturing practices (GMP), including proper waste disposal, personal hygiene, and personal practices.
  • Develop and present a comprehensive orientation process for all employees, providing training in key concepts of food safety and quality.
  • Work closely with operations and maintenance to drive food safety and quality ownership to the floor.
  • Train and develop subordinates in the performance of their duties.
  • Manage plant timelines and critical milestones for the food safety and quality improvement plan.
  • Interpret, analyze, and communicate quality and food safety issues, both internal and external.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory agency requirements.
  • Liaise with local regulatory inspectors and provide leadership for compliance to food safety and quality programs.
  • Implement and maintain quality programs, including HACCP, SQF certification, and environmental monitoring.
  • Develop corrective action plans for food safety or quality deficiencies.
  • Provide technical and QC support to operations, RQI, and sales/marketing departments.
  • Oversee product quality for new product implementation and introduction into market.
Requirements:
  • B.S. degree in Biology, Food Science, or related field.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to train and teach others.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
  • Ability to effectively present information to top management or public groups.
  • Skills in monitoring and measurement of process control, auditing, manufacturing of food products, sanitation process, and HACCP.
  • Team leadership, effective communication, and root cause analysis skills.
