Position Overview:The Records Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of records management, which includes the organization and maintenance of both electronic and physical files across various locations.
This position demands a strong background in Records Operations and the ability to lead the records team effectively.Key Responsibilities:
- Exhibit thorough understanding of Records Information Management (RIM) policies, data privacy regulations, and electronic data handling
- Oversee both onsite and offsite file management, including label verification, location monitoring, audits, and file transfers
- Ensure adherence to Legal Holds and Ethical Walls, managing access permissions and maintaining file integrity
- Direct the Records Team, delegating tasks, monitoring progress, providing mentorship, and conducting performance evaluations
- Promote the local office's digital transformation, offering training, and leading meetings and project initiatives
- Participate in virtual meetings, prioritize assignments, troubleshoot issues, and uphold confidentiality
- Build effective relationships, collaborate with peers, and strive towards achieving organizational objectives
- Bachelor's Degree is preferred
- Minimum of 3 years in Records Management or a related field
- 1 to 3 years of leadership experience, ideally within a professional services environment
- Proficient technical skills, with experience in records management systems being advantageous
