Human Resources Generalist

The Fund for Public Health in New York City is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to advancing the health and well-being of all New Yorkers.
In partnership with the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, FPHNYC incubates innovative public health initiatives to promote community health throughout the city.
The Human Resources Generalist will perform administrative and analytical duties of moderate difficulty, including partnering with program hiring managers, responding to employee inquiries, and managing the HRIS system.
Key responsibilities include:
- Handling all administrative tasks for recruiting, onboarding, new hire orientation, and exit interviews
- Assisting in developing and executing human resources procedures and policies
- Providing guidance and interpretation for business operations
- Administering and providing information on employee benefits
- Organizing and managing new employee orientation, onboarding, training, and performance programs
- Acting as the first point of contact for issues relating to the HRIS
- Maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field, at least three years of human resource management experience, and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
