Position Overview
The Civil Engineering Department within AECOM's Transportation Business Line is looking for a motivated individual to fill the role of an Entry-Level Civil Engineer. This position involves collaboration with a design team focused on a variety of highway projects, including roadway enhancements, intersection optimizations, and highway expansions. Key design tasks encompass geometric design, pavement analysis, 3D modeling, and traffic management strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct site investigations and gather existing data.
- Perform technical calculations to support project design.
- Assist in developing roadway construction plans and traffic control measures.
- Create 3D models utilizing civil engineering software such as Bentley OpenRoads Designer or Autodesk Civil 3D.
- Contribute to the preparation of technical documentation and project specifications.
- Work under guidance to ensure adherence to project timelines and budgets.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam or eligibility to take it within six months.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, MicroStation, and other civil engineering software.
- Previous internship or work experience in engineering firms or transportation projects.
