Position Title: Bilingual Customer Support Specialist (Remote)
Role Overview:
As a Customer Support Specialist, our accomplished team members engage in various dynamic areas aimed at providing an outstanding customer experience within the commercial energy sector. Our dedicated team ensures an exceptional customer journey through timely and precise handling of energy efficiency applications, along with comprehensive customer service in a specialized and technical setting. Responsibilities include thorough evaluations of energy incentive applications for eligibility, finalizing energy applications and payments, and providing inbound and outbound support for applicants and program participants through phone and online chat, alongside other administrative processing tasks for our utility partners and their clients. This role demands a strong focus on incoming and repetitive data while maintaining meticulous attention to detail.
We deliver unparalleled customer and client support through our specialized energy efficiency team by utilizing advanced call center technology, online chat platforms, and streamlined business processes within a paperless environment. Our team members are highly trained, customer-focused professionals eager to enhance their knowledge and skills in the unique field of energy efficiency customer support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in non-scripted customer interactions via phone, email, and chat applications.
- Conduct professional outreach.
- Assist customers with inquiries regarding energy applications and program details.
- Perform additional administrative tasks as assigned.
- High school diploma.
- At least 2 years of professional work experience.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and other MS Office Suite applications for 2+ years.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Previous experience in business processing or back-office roles is strongly preferred.
- Capability to accurately process applications in a highly repetitive environment.
- Prior experience in sales or customer service is advantageous.
- Strong computer skills, including data entry with high accuracy and speed, and database navigation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated high energy, positive attitude, and enthusiasm when interacting with team members, customers, and program participants.
- Experience collaborating with program participants, including homeowners and contractors, to troubleshoot application requirements.
- Ability to identify, define, and resolve issues promptly, gathering and analyzing information skillfully to develop alternative solutions.
- Capacity to work independently and collaboratively.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Typing speed of 45 to 50 words per minute is preferred.
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, including courtesy, professionalism, and a cooperative attitude.
- Flexibility to manage multiple priorities and willingness to work limited overtime as needed.
- Able to remain seated for extended periods.
