Overview:
The Risk & Advisory Services (RAS) division at GRF CPAs & Advisors is dedicated to aiding organizations in implementing a comprehensive strategy for evaluating and prioritizing risks while aligning them with their overarching strategic objectives.

The RAS team encompasses four primary areas: Internal Audit, Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), Fraud Risk Management, and Cybersecurity, offering a variety of services that include:

  • Development and execution of internal audit plans
  • Implementation and enhancement of ERM
  • Facilitated risk assessments
  • Investigations and assessments related to fraud, forensic matters, and whistleblower claims
  • Conducting risk reviews
  • Designing and/or evaluating risk mitigation strategies
  • Governance assessments and strategic planning evaluations

As the practice evolves, these areas and services are anticipated to grow.

Role Expectations:
As a Senior Analyst within the GRF Risk & Advisory Services, you will be tasked with delivering exceptional client service throughout various engagements, effectively communicating findings related to the engagements conducted, risks identified, and emerging challenges.

Your responsibilities will involve collaborating with executive leadership and other stakeholders to provide top-tier solutions, including but not limited to enterprise risk assessments, process enhancements, control evaluations, and compliance assessments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in internal audits, risk evaluations, and fraud investigations by planning work, conducting fieldwork, documenting results, and preparing insightful reports with actionable recommendations.
  • Contribute to enterprise risk management projects by developing work plans, conducting interviews, designing and analyzing surveys, facilitating training sessions, writing reports, and presenting findings to management teams.
  • Oversee the entire engagement lifecycle, including preparation of work plans, execution of fieldwork, review of workpapers, documentation of findings, and creation of reports with significant observations and recommendations.
  • Exhibit effective time management skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion that meets the quality standards established by the firm and clients.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, team members, and senior management, presenting complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Supervise staff, review their work, and provide training as necessary.
  • Identify and capitalize on opportunities to enhance skills, knowledge, and understanding of engagement planning, reporting, and the products and functions being audited.
  • Stay informed about best practices, current developments in accounting and auditing, and changes in applicable laws and regulations.
  • Assist in identifying business development opportunities for GRF, strategizing entry into new markets, conducting client outreach, and preparing proposals.
  • Engage in GRF's business development initiatives through leadership activities such as webinars, writing articles, and attending relevant events.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Analytics, or a related field.
At least 2 years of relevant experience directly related to the responsibilities outlined above.
Willingness to travel 10-20% of the time (must possess a valid passport and be able to travel internationally).

Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree or other advanced qualifications in a relevant field.
Proficiency in Spanish, French, or another language besides English.
Possession of professional certifications such as CPA, CFE, CISA, CIA, CRMA, or similar credentials.

Skills and Abilities:
Comprehensive knowledge of internal auditing standards, policies, and procedures.
Capability to develop and implement audit plans and schedules.
Ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Analytical skills for data interpretation and problem-solving.
Proficiency in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures, formulating policies, and developing new strategies.
Ability to foster a collaborative work environment.
Skills in developing, planning, and executing short- and long-term goals.
Employee development and performance management capabilities.
Self-motivated and adept at managing multiple engagements simultaneously.
