Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Banquet Chef de Cuisine to join our team at Gale Hotels. This is a dynamic and challenging role that requires strong leadership skills, creativity, and the ability to manage a large team in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement innovative banquet menus that align with seasonal trends, client preferences, and budgetary guidelines.
  • Supervise, train, and mentor kitchen staff, ensuring adherence to safety and hygiene standards while promoting a positive team environment.
  • Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation for large-scale events, ensuring quality and consistency.
  • Manage inventory, ordering, and storage of food products to minimize waste and ensure freshness.
  • Collaborate with event planners and service staff to ensure seamless execution of events, addressing any specific client requests or dietary restrictions.
  • Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and sanitation in compliance with health regulations.
  • Contribute to the overall financial success of the banquet operations by managing labor and food costs.
  • Stay up-to-date on culinary trends and techniques, implementing innovations to enhance banquet offerings.
Requirements
  • Culinary degree or equivalent experience in a high-volume kitchen.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a banquet or catering environment, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong culinary skills, creativity, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Food safety and sanitation certifications.
  • Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy items, and work in a fast-paced environment.
