Position Overview:
The Client Manager is accountable for delivering BSI's audit services to designated clients, ensuring compliance with all BSI, scheme, and regulatory standards. This role is essential for guaranteeing timely and cost-effective service delivery that meets our clients' expectations. The individual will take on various audit roles, either as a Team Leader or as a Team Member.
Key Responsibilities of the Client Manager - Automotive:
- Oversee a portfolio of assigned clients based on geographical location, ensuring alignment with qualifications and client contract specifications established by Planners.
- Engage with clients to confirm appointments, plan assessments, arrange travel logistics, conduct evaluations, and manage reporting of results.
- Supervise client accounts to ensure accurate record-keeping, visit schedules, invoicing, and other related activities to maintain high levels of client satisfaction.
- Adhere to the training program outlined by the Scheme Director to achieve assessor and subsequently Lead Assessor status, based on acquired knowledge, skills, experience, and scheme requirements, while maintaining auditor and scheme qualifications.
- Lead audit teams as necessary, providing mentorship and guidance to new or less experienced colleagues to fulfill business objectives.
- Participate in required training sessions and comply with all BSI procedures, processes, and policies regarding client management, home office operations, and the use of BSI equipment, as well as internal and external communications.
- Undertake additional assignments as required to achieve assessment delivery goals.
Education and Qualifications:
- A university degree in Engineering/Technology or an equivalent college degree (AA or higher) or relevant certification/work experience.
- A minimum of 5 years of pertinent experience in manufacturing or industrial engineering.
- Certified Auditor for International Standards, specifically IATF 16949 & ISO 9001, with EHS (ISO 14001 & ISO preferred).
- General understanding of management system auditing practices and business systems.
- Experience in third-party auditing.
