Senior Manager, Technical Program Management

At Expedia Group, we're shaping the future of travel. As a Senior Manager, Technical Program Management, you'll play a critical role in driving our success by leading a team of Technical Program Managers in the coordination, structure, tracking, communications, and delivery of key business decisions and initiatives for our Distribution & Supply organization.

About the Role

You'll be responsible for:

  • Establishing working relationships with stakeholders and building rapport to become a trusted advisor
  • Coaching the team to design differentiated technical communications for various internal and external audiences
  • Evaluating the progress of projects within the portfolio and working with the team to mitigate issues and risks
  • Managing project portfolio and participating in prioritization decisions, portfolio health, and governance structure
  • Crafting the culture of your team by building team rituals, processes, and practices that foster strong team bonds and an open, trusting environment
  • Evaluating the full complement of team talent, identifying gaps, and implementing action plans to fill gaps and drive achievement of goals
Requirements

We're looking for a seasoned people manager with a proven track record of leading teams responsible for complex programs across multiple portfolios. You'll need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a technical field (Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, etc.) or MBA, or equivalent professional experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience, with a solid history of managing performance and mentoring team members across locations
  • Ability to define team goals aligned with broader business objectives, fostering collaboration across multiple teams
  • Strong collaboration skills with product teams to influence and deliver on product roadmaps
  • Expertise in technical areas such as architecture, testing, monitoring, data access patterns, and streaming technologies
