Job Summary

Holt of California is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Territory Sales Representative to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for selling construction rental equipment and services to current customers and potential customers in the Stockton, CA area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop business relationships with customers to generate rental volume and drive sales growth.
  • Pursue all sales leads through advertising, telemarketing, job listings, customer references, and other sources.
  • Organize territory and account base to provide adequate sales coverage and maximize sales opportunities.
  • Utilize territory management and daily planner to plan calls and track results, ensuring effective time management and sales performance.
  • Log all sub-contractor information using jobsite forms to maintain accurate records and facilitate sales efforts.
  • Develop new accounts monthly, identifying and pursuing new business opportunities to drive growth.
  • Provide each new or prospective customer with credit applications and promotional materials, ensuring a seamless sales experience.
  • Visit key office contacts within our territory a minimum of twice per month to build relationships and stay informed about sales opportunities.
  • Cover jobsites, including all subcontractors and general contractors, to identify sales opportunities and provide excellent customer service.
  • Telemarketing job leads after starts, pre-selling and identifying key people on site to drive sales growth.
  • Participate in all sales meetings to stay informed about sales strategies and performance.
  • Check telephone logs/dispatch logs daily on rental counter for new leads and equipment delivered in our territory or to our customers, ensuring prompt follow-up and sales opportunities.
  • Work with Sales Rental Coordinators to verify orders and invoice accuracy, ensuring seamless sales and customer service.
  • Utilize all appropriate computer information to assist sales efforts, staying up-to-date on sales trends and customer needs.
Requirements
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals, ensuring clear and effective communication.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public, demonstrating excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts, such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume, ensuring accurate sales and financial management.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry, ensuring effective sales and business planning.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists, demonstrating adaptability and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form, ensuring clear understanding and effective sales execution.
