Procurement Coordinator

Overview: As a Procurement Coordinator, you will play a vital role in supporting the procurement operations at Nelson Connects. Your primary duties will involve identifying and evaluating potential suppliers, ensuring that the products and materials acquired meet established technical standards, and assisting in the assessment of supplier performance metrics. You will also be tasked with ensuring adherence to company policies, procurement protocols, and relevant regulations.

Compensation: $37.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Purchasing Manager and team members to facilitate effective purchasing processes and enhance operational efficiencies.
  • Support the Purchasing Manager in maintaining compliance with procurement policies and standards.
  • Act as a liaison between internal project teams and suppliers to foster strong relationships.
  • Assist in the creation of solicitation documents, including RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs.
  • Handle miscellaneous purchasing requests for technology equipment.
  • Perform data entry tasks within the Asset Management system and Telecom portal.
  • Contribute to the preparation of reports and ensure accurate records of IT inventory and procurement activities.
  • Conduct audits of online purchases to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Leverage technology to optimize and automate procurement processes.
  • Identify users and assign cost centers for IT hardware and mobile devices, updating the relevant management portals.
  • Oversee asset tagging initiatives in collaboration with the IT department.
  • Manage multiple tasks efficiently and effectively.
  • Complete additional assignments as required.

Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in procurement or related fields.
  • Familiarity with telecom and internet service providers.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with excellent organizational abilities.
  • Demonstrated work ethic and proactive problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within teams.
  • Strong prioritization skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of Federal purchasing regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other business applications related to purchasing and resource planning.
  • Ability to quickly learn and utilize mobile devices and business applications.
  • High emotional intelligence and cultural awareness, with a proven ability to build effective relationships.
