Supply Chain Materials Coordinator

  • Oversee the processing of procurement requests for newly developed components.
  • Facilitate the shipment of new products by coordinating materials to designated shipping areas.
  • Manage inventory reservations for materials staged in designated locations.
  • Foster strong relationships among Program/Product Management, Engineering, Production Control, and Supply Chain teams.
  • Act as the primary contact for Engineering, offering material assessments and best practice guidance.
  • Generate ad hoc reports as required by the Product Group.
  • Engage in cross-functional teams to communicate any delivery challenges affecting the production schedule.
  • Participate in daily shortage meetings, providing updates on program modifications.
  • Address BOM requirements for newly designed components.
  • Coordinate the transfer of materials from engineering to unrestricted inventory.
  • Manage aging inventory within engineering and secure commitments from product/program teams for resolution.
  • Assist in transitioning new products from pilot to full-scale manufacturing.
  • Ensure all purchased components meet release criteria for ordering and shipping.
  • Conduct PS MRP reviews and facilitate hand-offs.
  • Process material purges as necessary.

Required Skills:

  • Experience in project management.
  • Ability to interpret complex product BOMs.
  • Self-motivated with strong collaboration skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficient in problem-solving and critical thinking.
  • Familiarity with SAP transactions.
  • Capable of advising and coordinating across functions to identify and mitigate potential risks.

Qualifications:

Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and SAP. A Bachelor's Degree and/or a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a New Product environment is required.
