Essential Qualifications:

  • Experience in project management
  • At least 5 years of experience in a New Product Development setting
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting complex product BOMs
  • Self-motivated with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities
  • Familiarity with SAP transaction processes
  • Capable of advising and coordinating across functions to identify, mitigate, and resolve potential risks
  • Skilled in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct materials and logistics support to engineering business units.
  • Oversee the processing of procurement requests for newly designed components.
  • Communicate the status of open orders to the Product Group and expedite delivery schedules as per engineering needs.
  • Coordinate the shipment of engineering-owned materials to designated shipping locations.
  • Assist in the shipment of wafers for the Product Group.
  • Manage after-hours support for SAF Help Desk and Pilot SAF coverage.
  • Execute and finalize Engineering Change Order hand-off processes.
  • Manage material reservations staged in inventory locations.
  • Foster strong relationships with Program/Product Management, Engineering, Production Control, and Supply Chain teams.
  • Act as the primary contact for Engineering, providing material assessments and guidance on best practices.
  • Conduct ad hoc reporting as required by the Product Group.
  • Engage in cross-functional teams and communicate any delivery issues affecting the build schedule.
  • Participate in daily shortage meetings and provide updates on program changes.
  • Address BOM requirements for newly designed components.
  • Facilitate material transfers from engineering to unrestricted inventory locations.
  • Manage aging inventory in engineering locations and secure commitments from product/program groups for disposition.
  • Support the transition of new products from pilot production to full-scale manufacturing.
  • Communicate upcoming engineering changes to the supply chain, including potential rework implications.
  • Advise on and drive BOM accuracy.
  • Identify root causes for material risks and develop solutions and recovery plans.
  • Ensure all purchased components meet release criteria for ordering and shipping.

Compensation may vary based on various factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Benefit packages for this position will commence on the 31st day of employment and will include medical, dental, and vision insurance, along with HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, as well as access to a 401k retirement plan with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as mandated by applicable law.
