Job Title: General Manager of Sales

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Manager of Sales to join our team at Mathis Home - OKC. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, developing and implementing sales strategies, and leading a high-performing sales team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and achieve sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales goals for regions.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications.
  • Develop, implement, and execute strategic sales plans and forecasts to achieve company objectives for products and services.
  • Achieve satisfactory profit/loss ratio and market share in relation to preset standards and industry and economic trends.
  • Monitor competitor products, sales, and marketing activities.
  • Establish and maintain a consistent corporate image throughout all product lines.
  • Direct staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and control sales.
  • Prepare sales reports showing sales volume and potential sales.
  • Review and analyze sales performances against programs to determine effectiveness.
  • Provide a positive working environment and handle employee issues appropriately.
  • Conduct sales meetings with Store Managers, Sales Managers, Designers, and Sales Associates; manage and motivate sales teams across the organization to increase sales and ensure efficiency.
  • Tour the sales floors regularly and identify or resolve issues.
  • Enforce all company policies and procedures.
  • Effectively communicate with other department heads.
  • Develops par levels for staffing.
  • Ability to diagnose the challenges in the selling organization.
  • Make suggestions and implement changes to drive sales performance.
  • Perform evaluations and disciplinary actions when needed.

Requirements:

  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members.
  • Positive attitude when working with customers.
  • Knowledge of Storis.
  • Knowledge of employment, merchandise handling, and safety procedures.
  • Sales management experience required.
  • Minimum 5-10 years management experience.
  • Must be able to motivate employees, provide clear and concise direction, and communicate from entry-level to front-line employee to ownership.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age with a valid Driver's license with no more than 2 traffic violations or 1 chargeable accident within the past three years.

Work Environment:

Heavy Work: Lifting up to 10 lbs occasionally.

Work Environment: Mostly works in an indoor climate-controlled environment.
