About the Role

The Director of Inside Sales is a critical leadership position responsible for driving sales growth and revenue expansion within the AMR region. This role will oversee the Inside Sales team, ensuring they meet or exceed sales targets and achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the Inside Sales team to achieve sales goals and objectives
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to drive revenue growth and expansion
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional teams, including Academic Account Executives, Xenium Sales Executives, Science & Technology Advisors, and Service teams
  • Establish and optimize lead generation campaigns to ensure maximum ROI
  • Develop and implement training plans to ensure the team has the necessary expertise and provide coaching and development to the team
  • Foster a high-performance culture that promotes teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Hold continuous performance discussions and provide real-time, candid, and constructive feedback and coaching to enhance individual and team performance
Requirements
  • BA/BS degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, or a related field
  • 10+ years of successful sales experience, preferably in the academic, life sciences, or biotechnology industries
  • 8+ years in Sales leadership and people management experience, with a proven track record of leading teams that meet or exceed revenue targets
  • Strong knowledge of Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) technology and its applications in research and diagnostic settings
  • Familiarity with CRM tools and systems
  • In-depth knowledge of lead generation techniques and tools. Ability to design and optimize lead generation processes
  • Confidence in making decisions and recommendations using a data-driven mindset, leveraging change management skills and delivering an exceptional customer experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with customers and internal stakeholders
  • Strong presentation, documentation, influencing, and interpersonal skills on both technical and non-technical topics
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, highly dynamic, target-driven environment
