Position Overview:
We are seeking skilled pre-sales specialists with a proven history of assisting large organizations in becoming more data-centric. Collaborating closely with the Account Executive (AE), the Senior Technical Solutions Consultant for Retail and CPG will establish and guide the technical vision for our most significant accounts, fostering broader utilization of our solutions and deeper integration of Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI). Your extensive experience in value-driven sales, technical account oversight, and leadership will be crucial in achieving success within these accounts. While you will be supported by a team of hands-on professionals who will create proofs of concept and showcase Databricks' offerings, it is essential that you possess a strong technical foundation and comprehend the relevance and application of ML & AI across various use cases pertinent to the Retail and CPG sectors.
Your Contributions:
- Serve as the primary technical representative for Databricks with 1-2 key clients.
- Guide your clients through a transformative process, assisting them in evaluating and integrating Databricks into their strategic framework.
- Execute the technical strategy within the account, ensuring alignment with overarching goals.
- Foster a community of technical advocates within the client organization.
- Align technical initiatives with Databricks solutions.
- Provide structured mentorship and support to fellow team members.
- 5+ years of experience working with large-scale accounts (over $1 million ARR) in the Retail and CPG sectors.
- 3+ years in a pre-sales role or supporting sales efforts.
- Technical expertise in big data, data science, and cloud technologies.
- Proven ability to drive data-centric business transformation and facilitate change through data.
- 3+ years of design and implementation experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, NoSQL, MPP, OLTP, and OLAP, or comprehensive data science solutions.
- Experience in maintaining and evolving production data systems to meet complex client requirements.
- Proficient programming skills in Python, R, Scala, or Java.
- Preferred: Databricks Certification.
