Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY

We are in search of a meticulous individual who has a passion for numerical analysis and possesses strong communication abilities. The Finance and Accounting Assistant plays a crucial role in delivering administrative and clerical support to the Finance and Accounting division. Key responsibilities encompass processing invoices, reconciling financial accounts, generating reports, and assisting with collections. The ideal candidate should have experience in accounts receivable data entry, foundational accounting knowledge, and be proficient in Microsoft Office and accounting software, specifically Xero.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments
  • Reconciliation of accounts, invoices, and bank statements
  • Preparation and maintenance of financial records and reports
  • Adherence to accounting policies, procedures, and standards
  • Management of the accounting email correspondence
  • Collection of credit card receipts from team members
  • Daily balancing of designated reports
  • Analysis and documentation of monthly invoices for multiple locations
  • Execution of additional administrative and clerical tasks as required

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • A minimum of one year of experience in a related position
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and QuickBooks
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills
  • Adaptability to shifting priorities and deadlines
  • Comfortable with utilizing various software and applications
  • Willingness to learn and train remotely via video conferencing

PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS

  • Typically low to medium noise levels in the work environment.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Capability to sit at a computer for prolonged periods.
