About the Role

As a Software Engineering Manager III, you will lead a team of engineers in designing and implementing large-scale infrastructure and distributed systems for Google Cloud. Your expertise in software development, technical leadership, and people management will be essential in driving the success of our cloud infrastructure.

Responsibilities
  • Set and Communicate Team Priorities: Align team goals with the broader organization's objectives and ensure clear expectations are set for individuals.
  • Align Strategy, Processes, and Decision-Making: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategies that support the growth of Google Cloud.
  • Develop Mid-Term Technical Vision and Roadmap: Evolve the technical roadmap to meet anticipated future requirements and infrastructure needs, ensuring the team is equipped to tackle complex challenges.
  • Design and Guide Systems Designs: Oversee the design and development of systems within the scope of the broader area, and contribute to writing product or system development code to solve ambiguous problems.
  • Review and Provide Feedback on Code: Ensure best practices are followed in code development, providing feedback to engineers to improve code quality and efficiency.

What We Offer

As a Software Engineering Manager III at Google Cloud, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, collaborate with a talented team of engineers, and contribute to the growth and success of our cloud infrastructure. We offer a competitive salary range of $189,000-$284,000, plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location, and individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors.
