Job Overview

The Chief Financial and Operations Officer (CFOO) is a pivotal position within our organization, responsible for the management of financial and operational resources. This role encompasses oversight of the Business Office, Human Resources, Facilities Maintenance, and Safety and Security operations.


Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management:
  • Formulate annual budgets, forecasts, and strategic financial plans.
  • Oversee profit and loss statements, monitor resource allocation, and identify areas for efficiency improvements.
  • Deliver financial reports to the Board and implement investment strategies.
  • Manage tuition billing, accounts payable, accounting practices, and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with the Enrollment Director regarding financial aid allocations.
  • Ensure comprehensive risk management and adequate insurance coverage.

Human Resources:
  • Guarantee adherence to the Collective Bargaining Agreement and relevant legal standards.
  • Supervise benefits administration, including health, dental, insurance policies, and retirement plans.

Facilities and Security:
  • Establish and uphold environmental, health, and maintenance standards.
  • Ensure facilities are prepared for daily operations and special events.
  • Oversee building maintenance, vendor contracts, and campus construction projects.
  • Cultivate relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

Leadership:
  • Lead with empathy and professionalism, prioritizing community experience.
  • Manage and mentor direct reports, providing constructive feedback.
  • Act as a strategic business partner, offering proactive solutions to operational challenges.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree (MBA, MPA, JD) preferred.
  • Proven commitment to equitable practices in financial and operational leadership.
  • Experience with technical projects and interpersonal interactions.
  • Supervisory experience is advantageous.

Compensation: The salary range for this role is competitive and commensurate with experience and education.
