Role Summary

Reliability is a cornerstone of our Electric Adventure Vehicles. As a Supplier Reliability Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing and developing our products with reliability in mind.

Responsibilities
  1. Reliability Requirements and Testing: Establish and communicate reliability requirements, targets, and test plans for thermal components, subsystems, and assemblies.
  2. Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize fleet data, performance characterizations, and industry standards to define lifetime test requirements.
  3. Supplier Collaboration: Facilitate Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA) sessions with suppliers and internal teams to ensure reliability and quality.
  4. Supplier Selection and Guidance: Influence supplier selection for higher reliability and provide clear guidance on reliability requirements and demonstration to suppliers.
  5. Root Cause Investigation: Lead root cause investigation with physics of failure methodology for reliability test failures.
  6. Reliability Testing and Burn-in Strategies: Deploy ongoing reliability testing and burn-in testing strategies to ensure product reliability.
Qualifications
  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's degree preferred).
  2. Experience: 3-5 years of industry experience in a reliability engineering role or design engineering role.
  3. Automotive Experience: 2+ years of experience in the automotive industry.
  4. Domain Knowledge: Familiarity with methods to design-in and sustain reliability for thermal components, such as HVAC and heat pump systems.
  5. Reliability Testing and DFMEA: Experience deploying reliability testing guidelines to suppliers and facilitating DFMEAs internally and externally.
Compensation and Benefits
