Job Summary

This position is responsible for delivering measurable results in helping students overcome problems that impede learning and to assist them in making educational, occupational, and life plans that hold promise for their personal fulfillment as mature and responsible members of the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver classroom guidance to secondary school students
  • Assist students in making educational, occupational, and life plans
  • Help students overcome problems that impede learning
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to support student success
Requirements

Must possess a Maine certification and/or license in secondary school guidance. Masters degree with major study in guidance and/or counseling. Previous experience working with secondary school children and staff, including the ability to teach in classroom guidance settings. Ability to maintain confidentiality in the performance of duties.
