Family Law Specialist

The Maine Divorce Group is seeking a seasoned and skilled litigator to join our team as a Family Law Specialist. As a key member of our legal team, you will be responsible for handling complex divorce cases, advocating for clients in high-stakes situations, and providing expert legal advice.
Key Responsibilities- Litigate and resolve matters related to divorce and separation, including property division, child custody, and alimony.
- Maintain effective communication with clients and other relevant parties involved in legal proceedings.
- Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients, demonstrating strong advocacy skills.
- Represent clients in legal proceedings, including court hearings, trials, and depositions.
- Conduct comprehensive legal research and offer expert legal advice to clients.
- Draft a variety of legal documents, such as discovery motions, pleadings, and briefs.
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active and in good standing with your state bar.
- Willingness to apply for reciprocal admission to the Maine Bar if relocating.
- Proven experience in family law.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a dynamic legal team to achieve maximum impact and effect for clients.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong research, writing, and negotiation skills.
- Experience in courtroom representation.
