Medical Respiratory Care Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Medical Respiratory Care Specialist to join our team at SSM Health. As a key member of our Med/Resp Care Unit, you will provide direct nursing care to patients with complex respiratory and medical conditions.
Responsibilities- Obtain comprehensive data from patients, families, and healthcare providers to develop a holistic picture of patient needs or conditions.
- Analyze and synthesize data to determine diagnoses or conditions relevant to care.
- Identify optimal outcomes for patients in collaboration with patients, families, and interprofessional teams.
- Develop plans that prescribe strategies and alternatives to attain outcomes, using clinical judgment in collaboration with patients, families, and interprofessional teams.
- Implement plans, employing strategies to promote and maintain a safe environment, coordinating implementation with patients, families, and interprofessional teams.
- Evaluate processes and progress toward attainment of goals and outcomes.
- Contribute to the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice, evaluating their own practice, and maintaining current knowledge and competence.
- Communicate effectively in all areas of practice, collaborating with patients, families, and interprofessional teams.
- Use clinical inquiry and integrate best evidence into practice.
- Apply existing evidence-based practice and scientific knowledge in healthcare to critical care nursing practice, ensuring that nursing care is delivered based on patient age-specific needs and clinical needs.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
This is a rotating shift position in a fast-paced medical environment. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care.
