About the Role:

IMS Technology Services is dedicated to delivering exceptional event management solutions for corporate gatherings, product launches, press conferences, and customized hospitality experiences. The Production Manager plays a crucial role within the Event Staging team, ensuring that every event meets the highest standards of quality and client satisfaction. This position requires a deep understanding of client expectations, effective communication, and the ability to coordinate multiple aspects of event production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive event strategies that align with client objectives and exceed expectations.
  • Oversee all planning and execution phases of events, ensuring timely and budget-conscious delivery.
  • Manage both internal and external teams throughout the event lifecycle, maintaining accountability for financial outcomes.
  • Create and monitor budgets for various projects, promptly addressing any potential financial concerns with management.
  • Collaborate with the operations team to establish and maintain relationships with key vendors, ensuring optimal service and pricing.
  • Participate in site surveys and needs analysis meetings to support event planning efforts.
  • Work closely with the Sales team to accurately estimate project costs and ensure alignment with IMS values.
  • Translate client requirements into detailed proposals that adhere to IMS standards.
  • Maintain organized records of tasks, appointments, and meetings related to event management.
  • Contribute to the development of best practices that enhance the design and sales processes.
  • Assist the sales team in producing precise financial documents that reflect the scope of work for new proposals.
  • Monitor and uphold IMS Event Staging Production Management Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure technical requirements are met for events.
  • Oversee all facets of event production, including pre-event logistics, asset management, and post-event evaluations.
  • Identify innovative trends and resources in event planning to establish best practices for future projects.
  • Support workload balance across various accounts.
  • Conduct cost analyses for all managed event budgets.
  • Create comprehensive show books for each event.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in event project management, with at least 5 years in onsite event operations.
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Exceptional planning and organizational skills to manage multiple programs and resources effectively.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities based on industry knowledge.
  • Experience leading small to medium-scale live events with various stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to apply lessons learned from past projects to enhance team performance.
  • Significant client-facing experience with excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing project schedules.
  • Willingness to work non-traditional hours, including weekends and travel as required.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Vector Works, and Mac OS.
