Position Overview

Turner & Townsend Heery is in search of a seasoned Senior Structural Engineer (PE) to contribute to large-scale, intricate airport construction initiatives.

* PE License in Florida or the capability to secure a Florida PE License through reciprocity within 3 months.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Engage with clients and other consultants throughout all project phases.
  • Ensure timely client invoicing and utilize financial systems to track project financial health.
  • Develop project plans, including detailed project timelines.
  • Implement and monitor performance management strategies.
  • Oversee the change control process effectively.
  • Facilitate the flow of project information between the team and clients through regular meetings and written updates.
  • Prepare formal reports on project budget progress and other relevant metrics.
  • Uphold quality control by ensuring compliance with established standards.
  • Collaborate on proposals for new projects or modifications to existing contracts.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance Project Management procedures, templates, and deliverables, referring suggestions to the appropriate line manager.
  • Ensure that quality, safety, health, and environmental issues are communicated to the relevant line manager.
  • Establish effective project governance, processes, and systems to be utilized throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Execute general line management responsibilities effectively, where applicable.

Required Qualifications

  • Ability to provide strategic advice during the project conception phase, including various approaches to achieve the client's overall objectives.
  • Strong time management skills to ensure projects meet quality standards and are completed efficiently and on schedule.
  • Capacity to build robust working relationships with clients and cross-functional team members.
  • Proven experience as an effective team member in delivering specific commissions.
  • Identify business development opportunities with existing and prospective clients, including cross-selling possibilities.
  • Ensure key information and data are shared effectively and retained appropriately.

Education and Experience:

  • At least 10 years of demonstrated experience in managing large, complex airport construction projects.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, particularly in client-facing roles.
  • A college degree in Construction Management or a related discipline, along with PMP certification.
  • Membership in relevant professional organizations is preferred.
  • Experience in managing demanding stakeholders and work stream managers.
