Position Summary:

Turner & Townsend Heery is in search of a qualified Lead Structural Engineer (PE) to contribute to significant and intricate airport construction initiatives.

Key Qualifications:
- PE License in Florida or the capability to obtain it through reciprocity within three months.

Responsibilities:
  • Engaging with clients and other consultants throughout all project phases.
  • Ensuring timely client invoicing and utilizing financial systems to track project financial health.
  • Developing project plans, including detailed timelines and objectives.
  • Applying performance management techniques to monitor progress.
  • Overseeing the change control process effectively.
  • Facilitating the flow of project information between team members and clients through regular meetings and written updates.
  • Preparing formal reports on project budget progress and other key metrics.
  • Ensuring compliance with quality standards through rigorous quality control measures.
  • Drafting proposals for new projects or modifications to existing ones.
  • Identifying opportunities to enhance project management processes and tools, referring ideas to the appropriate manager.
  • Recognizing and communicating quality, safety, health, and environmental concerns to the relevant line manager.
  • Establishing effective governance, processes, and systems for project execution.
  • Managing general line responsibilities effectively where applicable.
Qualifications:
  • Ability to provide strategic advice during project conception, including various approaches to meet client objectives.
  • Strong time management skills to ensure projects meet quality standards and deadlines.
  • Proven ability to build robust relationships with clients and cross-functional teams.
  • Experience as a productive team member in delivering specific commissions.
  • Identifying business development opportunities with existing and potential clients, including cross-selling prospects.
  • Effectively sharing and retaining key information and data.
Education and Experience:
  • A minimum of 10 years of demonstrated experience in large, complex airport construction projects.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, particularly in client-facing roles.
  • A degree in Construction Management or a related discipline, along with PMP certification.
  • Membership in relevant professional organizations.
  • Experience managing demanding stakeholders and work stream managers.
