We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Design Engineer to join our team at The Falcon Group. As a key member of our Restoration Division, you will be responsible for designing repairs, renovations, and alterations of existing structures, as well as overseeing their execution in the field.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct structural analysis and repair rehabilitation design of concrete, steel, timber, masonry, and other structural systems.
- Coordinate design work with in-house staff and other consultants, including architects and engineers.
- Communicate with clients to understand project requirements and ensure successful project delivery.
- Design and develop structural drawings, calculations, and reports for various construction projects.
- Perform site visits to assess existing field conditions and ensure compliance with design specifications.
- Manage multiple deadlines and schedules, prioritizing tasks to meet project requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from a four-year college or university.
- Masters' degree preferred.
- Professional Engineer or Registered Architect license preferred.
- Valid United States Driver's License required.
- Experience with structural analysis software, such as CSI products (SAP2000, ETABS), Risa3D, Enercalc, RAM Steel, Mathcad, and MS Office Suite.
- Experience with BIM/drafting software, such as Revit and AutoCAD, preferred.
- Knowledge of the Florida Building Code and Design Standards.
- Experience in design and structural plan nomenclature of construction systems in South Florida.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
