PennState Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to lead the clinical team in our Adult Intensive Care Unit (AICU). This role offers a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on patient care, staff development, and unit operations.

  • Job Summary: The RN Clinical Staff Leader will oversee the delivery of high-quality patient care, ensuring optimal outcomes for critically ill patients. This individual will be responsible for managing the clinical team, providing guidance, and promoting a culture of excellence within the unit.

About the AICU: Our 10-bed intensive care unit provides comprehensive care for critically ill patients requiring trauma, critical care, neuro, and neurosurgical interventions. We strive to provide individualized, innovative, and specialized care to patients in the community.

Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee the management of the clinical team, including scheduling, staffing, and performance evaluations.
  2. Develop and implement strategies to improve patient care, staff engagement, and unit productivity.
  3. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
  4. Maintain accurate records and reports, adhering to regulatory requirements and organizational standards.

Requirements:

  • CURRENTLY LICENSED TO PRACTICE AS A REGISTERED NURSE BY STATE OF EMPLOYMENT OR HOLDS A MULTISTATE RN LICENSE THROUGH THE INTERSTATE NURSE LICENSURE COMPACT REQUIRED.
  • TWO YEARS RELATED EXPERIENCE IN INTENSIVE CARE UNIT SETTINGS.
  • BASIC LIFE SUPPORT (BLS).

Estimated Salary Range: $105,000 - $135,000 per year, depending on experience.
