About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Clinical Lead to join our Cardiovascular Unit team at PennState Health. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse to take on a leadership role and contribute to delivering high-quality patient care.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of healthcare professionals, ensuring effective communication and collaboration to achieve optimal patient outcomes. This involves active participation in clinical care delivery, while also assuming leadership responsibilities to support the achievement of our goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care
  • Ensure effective communication and collaboration among team members
  • Participate in clinical care delivery and assume leadership responsibilities
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment or multistate RN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact
  • Two years of related experience
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing
Additional Responsibilities
  • Update scheduling systems as needed
  • Participate in unit and hospital committees to contribute to organizational initiatives
  • Report compliance issues and operational needs to Nurse Manager/Assistant Nurse Manager
  • Follow up on audits and provide support to individuals requiring improvement
  • Conduct crucial conversations and Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) as necessary
  • Share audit trends and best practices during huddles and shared governance meetings
  • Assist Nurse Manager/Assistant Nurse Manager/Educator with competencies or interview processes as needed
