Job Title: Human Resources Coordinator

Embassy Suites Seattle Bellevue is a leading hospitality company with a culture of innovation and excellence. We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Human Resources Coordinator to support our team.

Job Summary:

The Human Resources Coordinator will provide administrative support to the Executive Team and Human Resource Department, ensuring the smooth operation of daily administrative functions. This role will assist the General Manager and Director of Human Resources with key responsibilities, including new hire administration, employee relations, training, and communications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Recruitment and Onboarding: Support the employment process, including applicant screening, eligibility verification, and reference checks.
  • Employee Relations: Assist with departmental correspondence and memorandums as needed, maintain accurate logs and reports, including new hire, termination, transfers, and department meetings.
  • Benefits Administration: Assist with benefit administration, including group health insurance, vacation, sick leave, and retirement plans.
  • HR Operations: Coordinate new hire pre-employment steps, including drug testing and reference checks, respond to applicants via phone or letter within required time frames.
  • Training and Development: Present new hire orientations, explaining benefits and policies, notify managers of monthly reviews and track completed reviews.
  • HR Reception: Assist with HR reception area duties, including greeting associates and directing them to managers.
  • Employee Engagement: Assist with employee relations events and maintain associate files, ensure compliance with the Immigration Reform and Control Act.
  • Administrative Support: Maintain office and benefit supplies, complete purchase orders as needed, keep employee bulletin boards current, and distribute paychecks as needed.
  • Special Projects: Assist with special hotel projects and provide administrative support to the General Manager.
Requirements:
  • Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or equivalent.
  • Experience: 1-3 years of work experience in hotel or human resources.
  • Skills: Ability to multitask and prioritize departmental functions, effective communication and problem-solving skills, ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information, basic PC knowledge and typing speed of 35wpm.
  • Language: Bi-lingual fluency a plus.
Compensation:

$26-$29/hour
