We are seeking a proactive and skilled Associate Scientist to contribute to our preclinical research efforts. This position offers a remarkable opportunity to apply your scientific expertise in groundbreaking experiments aimed at identifying and validating novel immunological and oncology targets using both in vitro and in vivo humanized models. As a vital member of our laboratory team, your work will play a crucial role in shaping the future of Simcere's research pipeline.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct cell-based assays to discover potential targets, utilizing a variety of molecular biology techniques relevant to oncology and immunological disorders.
  • Design and implement genomic, protein, and cell-based assays for target validation, discovery insights, and mechanism of action investigations.
  • Perform advanced multi-color flow cytometry to analyze immune and cancer cell characteristics.
  • Carry out bioanalytical assays, including ddPCR, ELISA, MSD, and Western Blot, for accurate quantification of target proteins.
  • Implement cytotoxicity and proliferation assays to assess target functionality.
  • Independently plan experiments, interpret results, and communicate findings with minimal supervision.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance Simcere's research pipeline.
  • Stay informed about the latest scientific advancements in your area of expertise.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Cellular Biology, Immunology, Oncology, or a related field, with at least two years of relevant experience, preferably in the industry.
  • Strong proficiency in molecular biology techniques such as cloning, transformation, transfection, transduction, qPCR, gene editing-CRISPR, RNAi, RNA sequencing, NGS, and Western blotting.
  • Expertise in cell culture techniques, including the handling of primary cells (e.g., human T and myeloid cells) and established cell lines.
  • A solid foundation in conducting, analyzing, and troubleshooting cellular assays.
  • Experience with various cellular assays, including flow cytometry, cell proliferation, and immunological assays.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication abilities, adept at managing multiple tasks, with a focus on meticulous record-keeping and organization.
  • A self-motivated individual with a collaborative and results-driven approach.
