Our commitment to sustainability drives us to develop the most efficient alternatives to traditional hydraulic systems, collaborating with top-tier suppliers, OEMs, and government entities.

Importance of This Position
As RISE Robotics continues to grow, we are seeking a dedicated and collaborative Senior Manager of Test Engineering & Reliability. This role is crucial in defining the future of heavy-duty actuation technology. The RISE Cylinder, our flagship product, requires extensive testing to ensure its reliability and performance. You will oversee all technical and personnel aspects of the testing division, ensuring that reliability standards are meticulously defined, evaluated, documented, and communicated. You will be responsible for the strategic direction and operational execution of the department over the next few years, necessitating a comprehensive understanding of mechanical, electrical, and software engineering disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a diverse team of test engineers to validate the functionality and durability of intricate electro-mechanical systems throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Design and implement departmental initiatives that promote training, process enhancements, and the establishment of best practices, fostering a culture that consistently exceeds customer expectations.
  • Formulate a detailed testing strategy to subject the RISE Cylinder to rigorous service life evaluations, considering extreme environmental conditions, vibrations, shock loads, and variability in components.
  • Oversee the design and construction of Automated Test Equipment for service life assessments, ensuring thorough analysis of test outcomes and maintaining optimal testing equipment performance.
  • Translate executive business strategies and objectives into actionable goals for functional team members.
  • Collaborate with Hardware and Software development teams to identify root causes of failures and propose design enhancements.
  • Manage the prioritization of testing resources across various projects.
  • Recruit, guide, and inspire the test engineering team, providing technical leadership to meet project timelines.
  • Establish reporting systems for field product issues, applying appropriate reliability growth methods to prioritize and resolve these challenges effectively.
  • Act as a key advisor in determining product readiness for market release.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering with over 5 years of experience in developing testing solutions for industrial products, including at least 3 years in a managerial role.
  • Demonstrated technical proficiency in the conception, implementation, and management of PLM systems focused on design validation and product qualification.
  • Experience in constructing automated testing equipment, including mechanical design, electrical assembly, and test software management.
  • Strong grasp of industrial machinery requirements and testing models that accurately reflect real-world performance.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Solid background in program management.
  • Exceptional leadership and planning skills, with the ability to contribute individually when necessary.
  • Track record of enhancing departmental performance through the establishment of best practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a structured approach to troubleshooting.
  • Experience in a dynamic, high-tech startup environment.
  • Proven success in mentoring and developing team members.

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary package, including equity options.
  • Comprehensive health, dental, life, and disability insurance.
  • 401(k) retirement plan.
  • Generous paid time off and holiday schedule.
  • Flexible work arrangements.
  • Company-sponsored lunches and team-building events.
  • Accessible location with parking options.
