We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Test Manager to join our team at Formlabs. As a key member of our manufacturing engineering team, you will be responsible for developing and managing the team that works on all aspects of factory software development and manufacturing testing to take our products from design to mass manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a team of experienced software and manufacturing engineers to ensure the development of high-quality products.
- Develop and maintain manufacturing, engineering, and support test tools for our product lines to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
- Work closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to define and create manufacturing and calibration tests for electrical hardware and software.
- Develop test plans and test-setup prototypes for new technologies to ensure seamless integration.
- Manage requirements from and set expectations with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and collaboration.
- Own the tools ecosystem encompassing design, validation, documentation, and release to ensure smooth operations.
- Use data science to gain insights into our production lines and feed those insights back to the operations organization to drive continuous improvement.
- Continuously improve our development and deployment process to streamline releases into our factories around the world.
- Comfortable leading collaborative projects with other engineering teams to drive results.
- Passionate about consistently releasing high-quality software to meet customer expectations.
- Able to work closely in a small team where personal interactions are critical to timely decisions and knowledge sharing.
- Have a solid understanding of embedded, electrical, and mechanical engineering principles.
- Strong project management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Very comfortable using the command line and ssh to develop on Linux systems.
- Experience working with manufacturing teams on complex products to drive innovation.
- Full stack web development, including Javascript/HTML, DevOps, Docker, and microservices to enhance our product offerings.
- Experience with C or C++ on microcontrollers to develop cutting-edge technologies.
